Abstract Realist Naturescapes- Colorful, Textured, Loose, Nuanced landscapes
Kajal Zaveri is a New York Artist, and until recently a San Francisco based artist, specializing in semi abstract oil paintings, mainly of nature. Her art comes from a happy and positive place and is inspired the vibrancy and diversity of New York, the beauty and bounty of her long time spent in California, and the rich colors and spirit of her birth home, India. Her bright, bold artwork reflects her passion and respect for nature, The colors and styling of her pieces evoke that sense of gratitude, joy, amazement, and wonderment that she feel every day and that is what I aspire to share with the viewer. This is translated onto canvas with thick spontaneous brushwork, to create her art with a fresh, modern rendering, of something familiar and known, yet abstract enough for modern sensibilities, to entice nostalgia and dreaminess and a sense of commonness and shared experiences.
Her work has been sold all over the world . Williams Sonoma Home carried and sold a lot of her artwork for many years when they carried original art. She is featured in Elle Décor Magazine, Times Square Billboards, PopSugar magazine, Shoutout SoCal, SD Voyager, Bold Journey Magazine, etc., among others, and has been sold to various collectors both in the USA and internationally.
She is also a volunteer, a mentor and an art teacher to young artists of all abilities. She is a big believer in giving back to the community through her art and has conducted various guest artist sessions for various NGOs and Art Museums and helped with Covid relief efforts through auctioning her art.
Soulscapes : The basis of inspiration for this series which highlights spirituality, is an attempt is to showcase the similarities in the differences between the east and west, through the use of colors, techniques and the universal themes of belonging, roots, faith, and self belief. This is a tribute to her native country of India
